PAPERHEAD FAQ: multiplayer, horror, mods & controller

Quick answers first—each section below adds store citations and what we did not find as of 2026-10-10. This is a fan guide; for purchases and policies, use official store pages.

Is PAPERHEAD multiplayer or co-op?

No. Steam’s API categories for AppID 2680280 list Single-player and do not list online co-op or multiplayer modes. Microsoft’s Xbox store page for PAPERHEAD also shows Single player as of 2026-10-10.

If you need party mechanics, look elsewhere—combat systems here assume solo routing (see the beginner guide for verified controls).

Is PAPERHEAD a horror game?

It is marketed with horror language, not as pure survival horror. Steam’s short description calls PAPERHEAD a “fast-paced movement boomer shooter + adventure horror game.” Content descriptors include Cartoonish blood & gore (required_age 0 on Steam—parental tools still apply).

Platform ratings differ by storefront:

Expect cute cardboard art direction with violent combat feedback, not necessarily slow-burn dread.

Is PAPERHEAD free?

The full game is paid. Steam showed $19.99 list with a -20% launch discount to $15.99 (US) on 2026-10-10; Xbox matched $19.99 on Microsoft Store. Details and delay history live on release date and price—this FAQ does not duplicate every price field.

Which platforms and languages are supported?

Steam (Windows only for the PC build), Xbox Series X|S + PC via Microsoft Store + Xbox Cloud Gaming, and a PlayStation concept page are documented on our platforms guide. macOS/Linux Steam builds are false in the Steam API as of 2026-10-10.

Languages (11): English, French, German, Spanish–Spain, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Russian, Simplified Chinese, Portuguese–Brazil, Turkish—per Steam and Xbox listings.

Does PAPERHEAD have controller support and Steam Deck verification?

Yes on both counts for Steam. Steam lists Full controller support with DualShock and DualSense called out. Valve’s Deck compatibility report returned Verified (category 3) with all four checks green on 2026-10-10.

Xbox listings mention Optimized for Xbox Series X|S and handheld/cloud play options—see the platforms page for install size differences (Steam config table vs Xbox ~7.3 GiB package).

Are there PAPERHEAD cheats or mods?

No official cheat codes or mod support has been announced; we found none as of 2026-10-10. That wording matters: we are not claiming modding is impossible—only that Paperhead te4m / HypeTrain Digital have not published a supported mod kit or cheat list in the sources we track.

Do not trust random download sites; they are unrelated to the Steam/Xbox releases.

How do saves and achievements work?

• Steam Cloud is listed on the Steam store API.
• Xbox cloud saves appear on Microsoft’s store feature list.
• 25 Steam achievements exist; names and global rates (volatile day-two stats) are on all achievements.
